Alongside the races, side events were organized to promote reconciliation. These side events included mediation workshops, group discussions, and cultural activities showcasing the traditions of various communities!

The east of the DR Congo has been ravaged by armed conflicts for several decades, the communities that have cohabited for centuries have killed each other and become each other's enemies. This situation of conflicts and hatred between communities causes material and human damage that is difficult to repair if the same communities do not recover. While cohabitation is a sine qua non condition, BBK was born to educate these communities in cohabitation and the construction of lasting peace as a foundation in the fight against poverty.

The mission of the BBK is to preach reconciliation, peaceful cohabitation and the eradication of poverty between the tribes and populations of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We work to find the most sustainable solutions possible for the communities and people who benefit from our programs.

Our youth empowerment program is based on the principle that a hardworking youth is never distracted. Unemployment is an evil which causes young people to be distracted in a way that anyone who wants to manipulate them can.

Local resources constitute a crucial potential in the fight against poverty and the creation of jobs. We teach communities to turn their local resources and daily work into income-generating activities for rural populations and link them to markets.

Sport is our preferred approach to peacebuilding. We bring together young people from communities in conflict and organize tournaments for peace in different sports including football and marathon running.
